Vibrant Faith, Sacred Hope
“at st. mark’s we
are followers of beauty. transcendent worship lifts the spirit
and feeds the soul.”
At St. Mark’s you can be part of an eclectic and vibrant community that doesn’t expect life to stick to the script. We engage scripture with our minds and our hearts as we seek to follow Jesus.
our statement of welcome:
As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, we are committed to the inclusion and protection of all marginalized people, especially those who have been oppressed due to race, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
“St. Mark’s Lutheran Church welcomes and affirms you as God created you. As followers of Jesus of Nazareth, our mission is to embrace diversity, practice hospitality, and make Christ’s presence known in word and deed. We are fervently committed to advancing God’s reign of love, justice, and peace by welcoming every person in their authentically expressed humanity. St. Mark’s has a long history of extending this welcome to our LGBTQIA+ siblings and strives to cultivate a community of equity where ability, race, sex, culture, ethnicity, socioeconomic class, age, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, neurotype, family status, background, immigration status, and incarceration status are celebrated as intersectional gifts.
We are called as Christ-followers to create a world liberated from oppression. We commit ourselves to the long struggle for social justice, from local to global communities, through our teaching, preaching, and community outreach. We will continue to work to promote critical dialogues within and beyond our church about how racism, bigotry, anti-indigeneity, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, and other forms of structural oppression and structural inequalities affect us all—our relationships, our organizations, and our communities. We acknowledge that silence and inaction contribute to the maintenance of ongoing institutional racism and other structural inequalities. We commit ourselves to caring for one another, reflecting Christ's love for us.”

Worship at
St. Mark’s
St. Mark’s is a caring, inclusive congregation that worships, learns, works, and plays together. We’re known for transcendent, formal worship, magnificent music, and unique architecture. Our congregation loves one another like family and welcomes folks from all walks of life. You just might find your place here.
Children’s Church
Children are loved at St. Mark’s, and we welcome them in worship!
During worship, children are invited to attend Children’s Church in the Chapel, facilitated by two adult leaders. Children leave toward the beginning of worship, then return to receive communion with the congregation. Children’s church is engaging and allows children to learn stories of our faith and explore their relationship with God.

Livestreamed Worship
Please note that as of August 2024, the worship livestream is only offered on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.
